About the event

Many independent publishers have been further hit by the last Google update in March. Web publishing has never been more challenging as AI trash floods the internet and Google loses control, meaning legitimate content is crowded out by garbage.

Publishers are encouraged/need to diversify their offering. To engage their audiences beyond .coms,'s etc. This event will offer both our view on the current environment and tips and ideas for how other publisher's have looked to extend their brands.

HOST - Ellie Edwards-Scott - Co-Founder, The Advisory Collective. Your resident host and Alliance supporter will be managing the conversation and asking the questions of our esteemed speakers.... Chris Dicker - Alliance board member and CEO, Candr Media Group will set out the developments affecting independent publishers now and in the future... A call to arms! Andrew Van De Burgt - CEO and Founder, The Race Media. With a successful video and audio strategy. Andrew will talk about the route to successful diversification Andrew Goldsmith - CEO, Adelicious. Audio and podcasting is a fantastic opportunity for specialist publishers.  Andrew will offer advice for and examples of  successful audio for independent publishers. Andrew Webb - Founder, Connectopia. There has (rightly) been a suspicion of 3rd party technology companies which is coming to a head now. Andrew argues that there are a number of smaller, more transparent businesses offering smart solutions for publishers. Alice Worley - Partnerships lead,  Tiktok. Alice will explain the opportunity for publishers within the TikTok platform. An opportunity to hear how you can connect with your future audiences.
